Advancing Equity and Representation in Global Communication

The Global Alliance Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Month, a global initiative aimed at promoting inclusive excellence within the public relations and communication industry.

Throughout the month, the Global Alliance and its member organizations across six continents will spotlight the vital role of DEI in shaping ethical, effective, and sustainable communication.

“Diversity and inclusion are not just values, they are strategic imperatives for our profession,” said Irene Lungu Chipili, chair of Global Alliance Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Month. “As communicators, we have a responsibility to challenge bias, elevate marginalized voices, and foster equity in every message we craft and every campaign we lead.”

Highlights of DEI Month include live streamed Webinars featuring thought leaders, academics, and practitioners from around the world. Through this engagement, Global Alliance and its members will reflect on the importance of encircling guiding principles for DEI initiatives which embrace global social and cultural perspectives. 

The initiative reflects the Global Alliance’s strategic commitment to embedding DEI in all its programs and fostering a global professional community that celebrates difference, cultivates empathy, and drives social impact.
